Encrypted mode uses AES-256-GCM encryption — your bookmarks are encrypted in your browser before syncing. We cannot read them. Full Access mode stores bookmarks in plaintext on the server, enabling dashboard search, AI organization, and folder management.
Yes. Go to Settings in your dashboard. Switching from Encrypted to Full Access will decrypt and re-upload your bookmarks. Switching the other way will encrypt them.
TabbJam captures your Chrome/Edge tab groups (title, color, collapsed state) and syncs them alongside your tabs. You can restore tab groups from other devices or save them as bookmark folders.

No. In Encrypted mode, we have zero knowledge of your data. If you lose your passphrase, your encrypted vault cannot be recovered. We recommend keeping a backup — the extension creates an HTML backup before your first sync.
